I am in the middle of something. Some of the time it is comfortable and ease filled. Some of the time it is confusing and frustrating. I have been writing it out. I have to in order to make space in my mind and heart. I have been jotting down the thoughts swirling. I have decided to share in a series. My practice of yoga is in a new place. The Place of Noticing.
Find a seat within yourself, a place to be still and observe. This is not the place of solutions, stories or choice. This is the place we often avoid. This is the place where we observe. It requires us to slow down our engagement. The production line is halted. We withdraw the senses. We remove the need to react or fix it. We are simply in the mode of seeing ourselves. We are not looking to blame or feeling guilt. We are not explaining or deflecting. We are watching. Our hands come into the body so we can NOTICE…
Notice your breath.
Notice the rise and fall of your chest.
Notice when resistance rises in the body or the mind.
Notice when the ease returns.
Notice when it’s hard to love yourself.
Notice how you are speaking about yourself.
Notice when you shrink who you are.
Notice what happens when you ask for what you want.
Notice what you think about as you drift off to sleep.
Notice what thoughts greet you when you are awakened.
Notice the stories that are playing in your mind throughout the day.
Notice if you are listening to others.
Notice what judgements arise in your interactions.
